Residential Duct Cleaning

Cleaning residential air ducts is the bread and butter of our business and we stand by the idea that clean air ducts are a step forward in the environmental cleanliness of your home.

The way other duct cleaning companies generally handle this challenge to their relevance it to line up a bunch of things that have been studies, that seem to have potential relevance to the practice of cleaning your ducts; line here, and here, and here.

There is some dispute concerning how often air ducts should be cleaned. Some hold that cleaning them is optional, citing the paucity of scientific data quantifying the health benefits of cleaning them. Not quite a sales pitch, it it? But keep reading (we'll get there!).
Without getting into EPA politics, we think there is a lot to the lists other companies provide and provide some of that data on our home page as well. If you have build-up in your ducts, it can't hurt to have it removed (if done properly) and it is a possibility it will diminish your quality of life if you leave it there. It may be doing so even now. But there's more.

"...think of clean air ducts as 'new car' smell for your house."

Car interior a/c duct
Here's a word picture that may be helpful, if you are on the fence concerning duct cleaning. Imagine the smell inside a new car. Maybe you are sitting in one right now (though hopefully not driving it now). That's a great smell. Now imagine the 'beater' you drove in college...after you drove a couple hundred miles on the weekend...with your friends...living on a shoe string budget...one that didn't include car washes. Good times with friends is great; there's no knocking that. But the EPA isn't going to do an air quality test in your personal vehicle to run correlation studies that eventually tease out the potential health hazards associated with spending long hours in a space that smells like a quagmire of questionable hygiene. Is that missing study going to convince you to prefer that smell to a fresh-smelling newer vehicle when the time comes? Probably not. So if the arguments about allergies, dust mites, and mechanical efficiency don't quite do it for you, think of clean air ducts as 'new car' smell for your house.
