Residential Duct Cleaning

"...think of clean air ducts as 'new car' smell for your house." |
Here's a word picture that may be helpful, if you are on the fence concerning duct cleaning. Imagine the smell inside a new car. Maybe you are sitting in one right now (though hopefully not driving it now). That's a great smell. Now imagine the 'beater' you drove in college...after you drove a couple hundred miles on the weekend...with your friends...living on a shoe string budget...one that didn't include car washes. Good times with friends is great; there's no knocking that. But the EPA isn't going to do an air quality test in your personal vehicle to run correlation studies that eventually tease out the potential health hazards associated with spending long hours in a space that smells like a quagmire of questionable hygiene. Is that missing study going to convince you to prefer that smell to a fresh-smelling newer vehicle when the time comes? Probably not. So if the arguments about allergies, dust mites, and mechanical efficiency don't quite do it for you, think of clean air ducts as 'new car' smell for your house.
